About

The Region

Coastal Encinitas has become a very dark mission field in recent years. When Self Realization Fellowship was founded in 1920, it became a power in Encinitas and its influence can be seen throughout the city today. Though people are seeking God, most would not look for Him in a Christian church building, but instead subscribe to one or several of the various forms of spirituality that are readily available on Highway 101 alone. In much of our world today, Christians are seen as judgmental, naive, outdated and irrelevant. Unfortunately, Christ and His Church are associated with these views. People are searching for peace, for healing, for power and what they are finding is a counterfeit form of these aspects of Jesus Christ.

When driving down Highway 101 from La Costa Ave to Swamis, you will see approximately 50 restaurants, 21 salons, 14 art galleries, 10 alternative healing centers, 7 liquor stores, 7 bars, 6 yoga studios, a tattoo/piercing studio, a witchcraft store, a psychic bookstore, many boutiques and, of course, the Self Realization Fellowship. There is not a single church. Tree of Life and the Storehouse have been established to fill this gap.

Encinitas Tree of Life Ministries: The Storehouse

The Polzins are now calling for Kingdom Support. Since opening Nature's Mother in 2003, Sarah and Lee have been driving in stakes on enemy territory in order to reclaim the land for the Lord. They have been digging a well and have finally have hit water! The Polzins have always known that their purpose is ministry and have hoped to close the store and go public. In October 2007, God gave the word and He released Lee and Sarah into full time ministry.

Since making the change, there has been an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a release of miracles! The first two months were challenging to their faith, but since stepping into 2008, they believe that they have stepped over a threshold into new, brighter territory. God has both renewed faith in the original visions and given a clearer picture of what exactly Encinitas Tree of Life is to become.

The Storehouse is the first of many spaces that Tree of Life will possess in His name. It is a ministry center for the Body in Encinitas… walls for the church without walls. It is ideal for doing ministry because of the strong presence of the Lord that is here as a result of nearly 5 years of prayer and worship.

Future Vision

Since the very beginning, God gave Sarah visions of their little store being surrounded by other businesses and ministries which existed for Kingdom purposes. She never imagined that they would eventually have a hand in bringing these into existence. Even when a pastor friend prophesied repeatedly that Nature's Mother was going to birth something huge in Encinitas, Lee and Sarah never once thought it might be what God had shown them because it seemed too much. Since stepping into full time ministry, God has given a clearer view of the vision.

The future for the Storehouse is simply that it will be used for God's purposes and filled with life and life-giving people… 24/7 prayer, more outreach, more worship, more ministry and more healing.

The future for Tree of Life is to take over more territory in Encinitas as God provides by renting (or buying) additional commercial spaces for expansion of this and other ministries.

Tree of Life ministries will include:

  • House of prayer
  • Conference center
  • Office space for pastors and ministers
  • Writing space for the writers
  • Helping Christian-owned businesses get started
  • Homeless shelter and support
  • Refuge for women and children in crisis
  • Feeding the hungry
  • Tree of Life will be a covering and a source of support for other ministries and Christian-owned businesses
  • More as God grows and leads

As these new life-giving organizations spring up, more of Gods light will pour into Encinitas and where there is light there can be no darkness!
